La Paz County, AZ, is both a desert and a food desert. Fresh fruits and vegetables often travel hundreds of miles before reaching our community leading to loss of nutrition, freshness, and affordability along the way. AeroZona is here to change that.
We’re building a sustainable aeroponic farm in La Paz County, AZ to grow food locally, year-round, with 90% less water than traditional farming and powered by renewable energy. Our mission is to:
- Provide fresh, affordable produce to families and seniors
- Donate 20% of every harvest to food banks and the local senior center
- Create opportunities for youth education and workforce training
- Prove that healthy food can thrive in the desert
